Robert Ambrose: Conductor Robert J. Ambrose currently serves as Director of Bands at Georgia State University, a research institution of over 53,000 students located in Atlanta. Under his direction, the Georgia State Band program has received widespread recognition with performances at the College Band Directors National Association Southern Division Conferences, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Parade; and internationally-distributed recordings on the Summit and GIA labels.

Ambrose is Founder and Music Director of the Atlanta Chamber Winds and the Washington D.C.-based National Chamber Winds, Co-Founder of Bent Frequency Contemporary Music Ensemble, and Founder and Principal Guest Conductor of the Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble. Alex Shapiro:  Composer Alex Shapiro is known for her genre-blind acoustic and electroacoustic pieces, including a significant catalog of electroacoustic wind band works for musicians at all performance levels. Published by her company Activist Music LLC, Alex’s music is heard daily in concerts and broadcasts across the U.S. and internationally, and can be found on over thirty commercially released recordings.

Shapiro is noted for her seamless melding of live and recorded sounds, and for her innovative uses of multimedia in performance and music education. A widely published author on topics ranging from technology, copyright, diversity and inclusion, music education, and the music business, Alex advocates tirelessly for other artists. She is the Symphonic and Concert writer member of the Board of Directors of ASCAP, and serves on the Board of Directors of the ASCAP Foundation and The Aaron Copland Fund for Music. Alex's music can be experienced on her website, www.alexshapiro.org.

Frank Ticheli:  Frank Ticheli's music has been described as being "optimistic and thoughtful" (Los Angeles Times), "lean and muscular" (New York Times), "brilliantly effective" (Miami Herald) and "powerful, deeply felt crafted with impressive flair and an ear for striking instrumental colors" (South Florida Sun-Sentinel). Ticheli joined the faculty of the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music in 1991, where he is now Professor of Composition. From 1991 to 1998, Ticheli was Composer in Residence of the Pacific Symphony.

Ticheli's orchestral works have received considerable recognition in the U.S. and Europe, with performances by the orchestras of Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Nashville, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Saarbruecken, and many others. He is best known, however, for his works for wind ensemble and concert band, many of which have become standards in the repertoire. www.FrankTicheli.com
