Annual National Convention

The Association of Concert Bands holds a national convention each year, held in a different location each year and hosted by a member band.

The convention is a 4-day conference for band directors, members and managers, as well as music history leaders, administrators, and board members, meet to exchange personal views and share experiences. The week includes educational seminars and clinics and performances by selected community bands. Attendees may participate in the Convention Band led by well-known conductors. The conference offers opportunity for networking among professional and fellow community band musicians,

The national convention is typically held in the Spring, dates varying by location. We will not have an in person event in 2021 and that event was postponed to 2022. For details see here.
